PERMANENT MAGNETIC PLATES

An unique magnetic separator which safeguards process equipments by removing Tramp Iron and Iron from Abrasion (generated during the process itself) from process streams.
Generally fixed above a chute, at the discharge end of a feeder, or over the conveyor belt, Tarmp Iron is trapped on the magnet face while non – magnetic material continues down the process stream.

STANDARD TYPE MAGNETIC PLATES are ideal for ferrous extraction from a distance of 25 – 40 MM and HEAVY DUTY TYPE MAGNETIC PLATES for extraction from a distance of 75 mm – 250 mm depending on the thickness of the magnetic plate.

HEAVY DUTY TYPE MAGNETC PLATES are designed to give deeper magnetic fileds & higher magnetic gradients.

The preferred location for a Heavy Duty Magnetic plate is at an angle over the conveyor discharge end, since the tramp iron is moving into the face of the magnet and the load is braking open, permitting easier tramp iron removal.

Magnetic Plates are installed as an original equipment in CTC tea machineries, oil expellers, textile machineries, cement machineries, and food processing equipments. They also find application in industries as varied as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cement, coal, coffee, biscuits, sugar, flour, coca, grains, cattle feed, paper, soyabean, tobacco, glass collets, granulators & pulverizes.

All stainless Steel Construction is also available for food processing, pharmaceutical and corrosive applications. The clamping arrangement is generally as shown in the pictures. If different type of clamping is require, the same can be incorporated as per the drawing of the customer.

Actual user is advised to choose magnetic plate of his requirement by referring to the table of sizes as shown overleaf. We will be in a position to offer you a suitable magnetic plate from the above table and / or custom build a magnetic plate to suit you requirement if you furnish us the following information.

(1) Nature of the material from which ferrous contamination needs to be eliminated.
(2) Approximate average size of the material.
(3) Rate of flow of the material.
(4) Type of ferrous contamination, i.e. the approximate size and quantity of ferrous      contamination generally found in the parent material.

Our Applications Engineers will be in a position to offer you a suitable magnetic plate and decide the overall size and thickness of the magnetic plate required by you, if the above information is furnished to us.
